EDCIL is Recruiting 2025  for Career and Mental Health Counsellors

EdCIL invites online applications from eligible candidates for the following position purely on a Contractual basis across various mandals in 26 districts of Andhra Pradesh. 

• Post Name - Career and Mental Health Counsellors
• No of Vacancies - 103 (contract Basis)
• Last Date to apply - 20 April 2025. 
• Age Limit - 45 years
• Salary - Rs. 30,000

Note

• Proficiency in Telugu is mandatory
• The engagement of Career and Mental Health Counsellors shall be purely on a contractual basis, initially valid up to March 31, 2025. This contract may be renewed for an additional academic period of 10 months, from June 2025 to March 2026. Extensions of the contract will be contingent upon the needs of the Samagra Shiksha (Andhra Pradesh), as well as the performance of the individual counselors.

Qualification

• M.Sc. in Psychology/MA in Psychology/ Bachelor’s in Psychology (Compulsory)
• Diploma in Career guidance and counseling (Desirable)

Experience

• No need for experience
• Freshers may also apply. Subject to meeting the prescribed educational qualification & other eligibility criteria.

Job Description

• Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students to discuss career aspirations, academic interests, and personal strengths. 
• Engage with parents and teachers to provide information on career counseling services and encourage their involvement in the career planning process.
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and community organizations to ensure a holistic approach to student career development etc.
• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions for students dealing with anxiety, depression,stress, and other mental health challenges. 
• Coordinate with the principal and parents to identify slums, bastis, and rural areas for visits to observe the local conditions and environment. 
• Conduct workshops and seminars on mental health awareness, coping strategies, and emotional regulation for students and staff etc.
