Digital India Internship Scheme 2023 

Digital India is a government initiative launched in 2015 to digitally empower India and its citizens. While there are various internships available in different fields related to the Digital India campaign, it depends on your specific interests and educational background.

Through the Internship Students can gain hands on work experience while being guided by a qualified, experience supervisor mentor. It also aims at the active participation of the students in the Learning Process through Experimentation and application. 

About NIC 

The National Informatics Centre (NIC) is a premier science and technology organization in India under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). Established in 1976, the NIC provides technology solutions and support to government agencies and departments at the national, state, and district levels.

The NIC's primary function is to provide technical and IT support to the Indian Government for its e-governance initiatives. It designs, develops, implements, and manages various IT-based solutions such as websites, portals, databases, and network systems for the government. NIC also plays a vital role in providing secure communication infrastructure to the government.

NIC is headquartered in New Delhi, and it has offices and centers across India. The organization has contributed significantly to the growth of e-governance in India, with several notable projects such as Aadhaar, National Knowledge Network, BharatNet, eOffice, and eProcurement. NIC has also collaborated with various international organizations to exchange knowledge and technical expertise.

Overall, NIC is an essential organization that provides technological support to the Indian Government and helps in the implementation of various e-governance initiatives, thereby contributing to the country's overall development.

Eligibility 

The Students from India Of recognized Universities who secured atleast 60% of the marks in the last held degree or Certificate Examination and Pursuing B.E / B. Tech , M.E / M. tech  are eligible. 

NOTE:  The Students who are passed out in 2023 are not eligible for this Internship. 

Duration of this Internship 

The minimum Duration of this Internship is 2 months. Depending on the student Performance of the student the internship duration may extend up to 3 months also. The detailed scheduled of various activities are shown below. 

This Internship may start from June. 

Place Of Internship 

The internship will be available in the NIC's New Delhi headquarters as well as several NIC State centres. 

Timing Schedule of Various activities

Important Points to Remember : 

• Interested and eligible students need to apply online ONLY on the Web Portal of NIC for the Internship Scheme.
• The Students needs to get Recommendation Letter forwarded by the Institution on the Letter Head of the Institute. 
• The Students needs to upload certificates of completed degrees and last result available. 
• The student will be required to submit a write-up not less than 100 words and not more than 250 words under the subject `Statement of Purpose’ bringing out the purpose/benefits of the scheme. 
• Students have to select maximum two choices of interest 
• Student will be asked to submit a self-declaration for conversion formula of CGPA into percentage with attestation from their educational institution.
