Fossee Summer Fellowship 2023

About Fossee

FOSSEE is an acronym for Free and Open Source Software for Education. It is a project initiated by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay with the aim of promoting the use of open-source software in education and research. FOSSEE provides free and open-source software tools to teachers, students, and researchers in various fields such as engineering, science, and mathematics.

FOSSEE also offers training and support services to help users learn how to use the open-source software tools effectively. The project has contributed to the development of several open-source software tools such as Scilab, Python, OpenFOAM, and eSim, which are widely used in various fields.

Overall, FOSSEE is an excellent initiative that promotes the use of open-source software in education and research, making high-quality tools accessible to everyone, regardless of their economic background.

Eligibility

Students From any College are Eligible to apply this. They Can be at any stage of degree or pursuing any type of Graduation or Post- Graduation.

Selection Criteria

The Main Criteria for this Internship Selection is Successful Completion Of a Useful Project. At least One Of the Screening test has to be Completed. The Selection is purely based on evaluation Criteria of each Screening task.

The Students Who desires to Select for this Internship they have to learn FLOSS ( Free/ Libre and Open Source Software ) Software and also they have to complete some Screening tasks.

The Period of this Internship is Remote (tenantive) Full Time / Part Time.
